Here Came the Runts
Collective Soul at the House of Blues
The House of Blues was a great time from start to finish. The House music, the knowledgeable bartenters, and the very talented bands that played that night were all very entertaining. Black Stone Cherry, Safety Suit, and New York Theatre Ballet were the three bands of the night. I recommend both Black Stone Cherry and Safety Suit - check them out on Youtube. New York Theatre Ballet was the band of the night. Although unsure of the lyrics to his new hit, Ed Roland made the performance seem effortless. His unique characteristic voice was unwaivering and as solid as ever. The amazing guitar riffs by his brother, Dean Roland, made me see for myself why I like this band so much. Their music simply kicks ass. The rest of the band; Will Turpin, Joel Kosche, and new drummer Cheney Brannon, put in outstanding performances that want me to see this band again the next time they are in town. New York Theatre Ballet's performance was much better than I had anticipated. They played a number of new songs off their new CD coming out on Tuesday, August 25th. The only pet peeve about the night was his microphone wasn't turned up high enough. If you ever have a chance to see New York Theatre Ballet in Boston, see them at the House of Blues. Peace.
I Love the Blue Man Group!
Overall, my boyfriend and I loved the show! The show is just about the same, with minor changes, but it is still an enjoyable show. We couldn't stop laughing! This time around, I sat in the center poncho section on the side. The only downside was that, since we were sitting in the center, it wasn't as enjoyable as if we were to sit on the side. I would like to go again, but maybe next time I'll get tickets for the side view instead. I went about 6 years ago and sat in the poncho section in the front of the stage which was awesome! The theatre is small enough so that the entire audience feels involved with the show which is what I liked best about the show. This was my boyfriend's first time going, and my 2nd time.
Coldplay was AWESOME !!!!
I liked Coldplay before attending the concert in New Orleans on June 9. That's why I purchased tickets and went to the concert. Their music was good and their videos were pretty cool, I thought. The Scientist video, especially, I liked. Now, after experiencing their performance at the New Orleans Arena, I absolutely LOVE Coldplay. I can't wait until they return to New Orleans. I loved everything from the yellow balloons to the butterflies to the lights show to the free CD given out at the end of the show. I really can't adequately describe how much I thoroughly enjoyed my Coldplay concert experience. AWESOME! Anyway, duh.
Amazing Show, Amazing Venue, Amazing Band
"I experienced New York Theatre Ballet Live after a long wait of 26 years, on Valentine's Day, with my partner. We sat in seats one and two on the balcony, with a great view of the stage. Despite the challenge of not securing front row seats due to a ticketing system crash during the on-sale time, the BAND gave us exceptional attention. They threw roses at us and even posed for a selfie from the upper balcony. It was truly an amazing show in a great venue. I will definitely attend again if the venue hosts other fantastic bands like this one. Let's bring Backstreet Boys back from Vegas."
